POPULAR's National Drawing Competition Finals *16 NOV 09*

I got an invitation to be one of the judges for POPULAR's National Drawing Competition. We had to select Grand Prize, 2nd Prize, 3rd Prize winners out of 39 winning entries from 13 states! We debated. we argued. it was fun=D

'Sao Feng' Digital Painting.

This is my first attempt at digital painting using a wacom tablet with Photoshop and Painter. Took me a little over a week to complete this, working only at nights=D

Coincidence or Rip-off. What do you think?

The IPCC Digital Interactive Comic Competition 2009 announced it's grant winners on 30th July. These comics are 'works in progress' and one of the entries titled 'The Returning' featured a scene with four characters venturing into the unknown. Just take a closer look at it and compare it to this page from the short story 'Fright House' from my graphic novel Scary Ever After...



See the similiarities?

Note the vertical composition...the characters are positioned in the exact same poses, from the man holding the flashlight in front to the character in the back tugging at the arm of the second character from the back...it's an exact copy!

Haha. So this is what it feels like to be ripped-off. =p
